Municipal Candidate Filings

Candidates 2015Candidates filing for either the Plymouth or Bremen municipal elections only have until noon on Friday, February 6th to declare their intentions for the May primary.

Donna Pontius,Voter Registration Deputy for the Marshall County Clerk’s Office said several more candidates have filed the past couple of weeks.

Currently, incumbent Plymouth Mayor Mark Senter is the only republican to file while the democrats have Rex Crump and Tony Gamble.  Incumbent Plymouth City Clerk Treasurer Jeanine Xaver is the only candidate on the republican ticket and there are no democrats at this time.

With two additional Plymouth City Council at Large seats on the ballot this time there are three seats to fill.   Republicans Christopher Berdahl and Bill Walters join incumbent Mike Delp on the republican ticket and Gary Cook is the sole democrat vying for an at large seat as of Monday afternoon.

Plymouth City Council district seats all have republican incumbents, Duane Culp in prescient 1, Don Ecker Jr. in precinct 2, Wayne Smith for precinct 3 and Shawn Grobe for precinct 4.

The Town of Bremen has incumbent Janet Anglemyer a republican seeking another term for Clerk Treasurer. Also on the republican ballot for Bremen Town Council will be incumbents Rick Garverson, James Leeper, Michael Leman and Heath Thornton.  There are two additional republicans for have filed for council seats, William Daily and Michael Venable.

Argos, Bourbon and Culver all hold conventions to select their candidates and they have until August 3rd to declare their intentions.

Larry Wattebarger, the republican incumbent on the Bourbon Town Board has already filed in the County Clerk’s office for another term while incumbent Jean Rakich a republican has filed for the Culver Town Council and Liberal Joel Samuelson has also filed for a Culver seat.   Roger Ecker, a democrat has filed for re-election to the LaPaz Town Council.
