Cost of Mega-Passes at Festival Increase Next Week

August 26, 2010

If you are planning on purchasing a Mega-Pass for the carnival at the Marshall County Blueberry Festival time is running out.  That is, if you want to get them for $45.  Mega Passes are on sale through 5 p.m. on Friday, August 27th for just $45 dollars. During the final week prior to the Blueberry Festival the cost of a Mega Pass increased to $50. Passes are available during normal business hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Thursday, September 2nd and until 3 p.m. on Friday, September 3rd.

Parents wishing to purchase the ride pass can bring in the child and the Blueberry staff will take a photo for the pass or you can bring in a 1 inch by 2 inch head and shoulders photo of the child that will be cut to fit the space on the pass and then laminated onto the pass.

Families who don’t want a Mega Pass but would like their children to enjoy the carnival at the Blueberry Festival can purchase Pay-One-Price wristbands for just $15 in advance through 3 p.m. Friday September 3rd.

This year wristband events are planned each day: Thursday, September 2nd from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., Friday, September 3rd from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday, September 4th from a 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday September 5th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Monday, September 6th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This year the Blueberry Festival has expanded the days of the carnival along with the number of rides. There will be 5 additional rides for big kids and 4 more rides in the kiddies area.

Don’t wait too long to get your Mega Passes.  Last year the Festival sold out of Mega-Passes and had to turn away customers.

The Marshall County Blueberry Festival is Labor Day Weekend.  Official opening of the festival is 5 p.m. on Friday.   The carnival only will open at 5 p.m. on Thursday and at noon on Friday.
