02/23/11 Sandy Burroughs, Argos High School Coral Director released the results from last weekend contest. Argos High School vocal students participated in the ISSMA State Vocal Contest Saturday, February 19th. Argos took 6 events to state and brought home 5 gold ratings and one silver rating.
Soloists who received gold ratings were: Cara Kaszas, Zach West, Zack Smith, and Tony Hutchinson.
The Barbershop Quartet which consisted of Zack Smith, Ricky Rice, Tony Hutchinson, and Zach West also received a gold rating. The large mixed ensemble received a silver rating, only missing a gold rating by 1/2 a point. Members of the large mixed ensemble were: Cara Kaszas, Emma Nellans, Kayla Hendricks, Sam Blum, Libby Moyer, Latisha Shepherd, Sabrina Brown, Kirsten Ringer, Samantha Hopkins, Madi Williams, Courtney Ringer, Kayla Sliter, Jennifer Sullivan, Austin Saenz, Tony Hutchinson, Zach West, Zack Smith, Ricky Rice, Elmer Roque, and Dominic Cataldo.
