Couple Arrested for 162 Baggies of Heroin

  10/08/13 On Friday, October 4th about 11:30 p.m. a deputy with the Marshall County Police Department initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle on US 31 near the intersection of 12B Road.  The traffic stop was for an equipment violation.

  During the course of the traffic stop the County’s K-9, Arras was walked around the vehicle and indicated the presence of narcotics inside the vehicle.  After a brief investigation officers conducted a search and located a bag containing 162 individual baggies containing a white substance.  The white substance was given a field test and tested positive for heroin and weighed 68.4 grams total. 

  The driver of the vehicle, 22 year old Nathan S. Harrison of Wabash was taken into custody and booked in for Dealing Schedule 1 Substance and Possession of Schedule 1 and 2 Narcotic over 3 Grams.  The passenger in the vehicle, 19 year old Christina E. Johnson of Huntington was arrested and booked for Dealing in a Scheduled 1 Substance and Possession of Scheduled 1, 2, 3 and 4 Controlled Substances without a Doctor’s Order.  Both subjects were transported to the Marshall County Jail and held on $50,005 bonds each
