Milwaukee Man Arrested for Auto Theft

02/04/11 On Monday, January 31st about 8:30 a.m. the Marshall County Police Officer Jeff Snyder observed a Chevy pick-up truck traveling west on U.S. 30 west of Plymouth-Goshen Trail.  The vehicle was exceeding the posted speed limit, traveling 80 miles per hour. 

Officer Snyder shopped the truck on U.S. 30 west of Rose Road.  During the investigation, the vehicle was found to have been stolen from Ashland, Ohio. 

The driver, 40 year old Christopher Michael Bump of Milwaukee was arrested and transported to the Marshall County Jail.  He was booked in to auto theft with a $1,000 cash bond and operating a motor vehicle without ever receiving a license. 

The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department is working with the Ashland, Ohio Police Department in the matter and the case remains under investigation.
