Marshall County Building Inspector Chuck DeWitt presented the November and December monthly statistical report to the county commissioners during their meeting Monday.
DeWitt said November was a busy month with contractors working to get projects ready to work on over the winter. A total 19 footings were inspected and 3 foundations. He also inspected 27 electrical services. There were a total of 131 inspections in November and 4 health and substandard housing inspections. The county building inspector also issued a total 24 building permits with projects valued at $2,230,000.
December slowed down just slightly with a total of 142 inspection and 13 building permit applications with an estimated value of $279,300. DeWitt inspected 14 footings and 2 foundation 16 electrical services along with another 4 health and substandard housing inspections.
DeWitt said, “It has been a good year. I’m just trying to stay on top of things. He will present his year end report at their meeting on the January 20th.
