City Meetings Monday Evening

  08/13/12 The City of Plymouth will hold their regular meetings Monday evening beginning at 6:00 p.m. with the Board of Public Works and Safety.  The agenda for the meeting includes opening quotes for a roof project at the Fire department along with reports by the city department heads.  Fire Chief Rod Miller will request additional staffing for the Marshall County Blueberry Festival over Labor Day Weekend.

Other agenda items include the city engineer presenting a request for soil borings for AECOM – NIPSCO, a resolution ratifying and executive order and the request of Jennifer Strickland to make payments on her account.

Immediately following the Board of Public Works and Safety meeting is the Common Council meeting.  Their agenda includes 2nd and 3rd reading of the ordinances setting the salaries for elected officials and city employees for 2013.  The ordinance reads an increase of up to 3%.

Other agenda items include a discussion and status report by the City Attorney of the FEMA Flood Home Buyout program.  There will also be a request for approval offers to sell real-estate at 501 South Walnut Street, 606 South Plum Street, 312 East Garro Street and 222 East Garro Street.

The City Council is also expected to approve the resolution presented by City Clerk Treasurer Toni Hutchings for an additional appropriation.

The City meetings begin at 6 p.m. in the Council Chambers of City Hall.  Comments and questions are limited to agenda items only.
