Ancilla College hosted its sixth annual Constitution Day, a forum designed for students to ask questions and learn more about the Constitution of the United States.
Held in Room 231 of the Donaldson-based campus, students were able to participate in an open question and answer session with moderator Dr. Tom Buchanan, Chair of the Division of History, Behavioral Science, and Business.
The event was held in part to keep the college in accordance with federal law, which states that any college receiving federal aid must put on an event related to the constitution once each year.
Lunch was provided to those in attendance.
“The annual Ancilla Constitution Day observance was by all forms of measurement a success,” said Buchanan. “There was a substantial and energized response from the overflow crowd, and several thoughtful questions were posed. It was an excellent opportunity for the Ancilla community to come together for a pleasant lunch, some interesting education, and thoughtful discussion.”
Ancilla College is a Catholic, two-year, co-educational, liberal arts college in Donaldson, Indiana sponsored by the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ.
