08/13/13 It was a busy morning for Monday’s County Council meeting. With all members present the council unanimously approved the request of Prosecutor David Holmes to replace Graham Polando who has been with the office since October 2012. Polando has been hired to be a magistrate for Saint Joseph County Probate Court Judge.
Holmes said he would like to start the interview process right away and noted that with a smaller office it offers candidates a better opportunity to get involved in cases. He indicated that the word is already out and there is interest in the position.
The County Council also unanimously approved the request of Sheriff Tom Chamberlin to hire a full time head cook and a turnkey/dispatcher. Chamberlin said both positions are vacant.
