County Police Arrest 3 on Sunday

6/02/11   Marshall County Police arrested three on Sunday.

In the early hours of Sunday, May 29th at approximately 1:30 A.M. Patrolman Bryant with the Marshall County Police Department conducted a traffic stop near Lincoln Highway and 9th Road.  The driver, Brittany L. Goorhouse 23, of Plymouth was found to be intoxicated and was arrested for operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated.  Goorhouse was transported to the Marshall County Jail where a $1,000.00 cash bond was set.    Her bond was paid at 11:00 A.M. and she was released.   Goorhouse is scheduled to appear in Marshall County Superior Court #2 on June 21st at 8:30AM. 

Then around 3:00 A.M. the Marshall County Dispatch Center received a report of an accident in front of the residence of 217 West Williams Street in Argos.  The caller said the driver was attempting to flee the scene.

Officers with the Argos Police Department as well as the Marshall County Police Department responded to the scene to find that Travers J. Bergman III 56, of Plymouth had crashed his 2000 Ford Van into a parked vehicle.  The impact pushed that parked vehicle into another vehicle that was parked in the driveway.  During the investigation Patrolman Cooper of the Marshall Country Police Department determined that Mr. Bergman was intoxicated.  He was taken into custody, and Berman refused to submit to a certified chemical test. 

His passenger, Michelle Stuckmeyer 37, of Plymouth was also found to be intoxicated, and was arrested for public intoxication. 

Both Subjects were transported to the Marshall County Jail.  Mr. Bergman was charged with Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated and Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test.   Bergman was released on the same date at 1:30 P.M. with a paid cash bond of $1000.00.  He is scheduled to appear in Marshall County Superior Court #2 on June 28th at 8:30AM.   Stuckmeyer’s bond was set at $1000.00 cash.  Stuckmeyer is scheduled court appearance in Marshall County Superior Court #2 on June 28th at 8:30AM.
