12/16/11 On Wednesday, December 14th at 4:41 p.m. Patrolman Les McFarland with the Marshall County Police Department responded to a two vehicle accident at the intersection of US 6 and Miami Trail.
During the investigation it was learned that Michelle M. Skarbek 47, of South Bend was traveling northbound on Miami Trail in her 2003 Land Rover, attempting to cross US 6 when she failed to yield to the westbound traffic and pulled into the path of Ronald McAllister 76, of Knox while he was traveling westbound on US 6 in his 2007 Kia.
Both Skarbek and McAllister were complaining of pain. Both were transported to Bremen Hospital by Tri County Ambulance for examination. Bremen Fire Department and Bremen Police department both assisted in the accident investigation.
