On Saturday, June 19th, Kersting’s Cycle Center, located four miles south of North Judson on Indiana Highway 39, held their annual Mint Fest Ride to benefit Starke United. Proceeds from the event raised $2,000.00, even though the number of riders was down from a year ago. “Bikers are the most generous group of people that I have ever been involved with,” said Sandy Kersting-Rudd, general manager of Kersting’s and event organizer.
“We are extremely appreciative of the generosity of Kersting’s Cycle Center and the contributions by each of the participants. Our 2010 campaign has been jumpstarted with this wonderful check following another successful Mint Fest Ride event,” said Edie Hall, Executive Director of Starke
United.
Starke United exists to provide leadership in uniting all people of Starke County to address human conditions through positive actions.
