Triton Science Class includes Dancing Raisins

October 16, 2013

10/17/13 The fourth grade students in Mrs. Reese’s class at Triton Elementary School were recently doing a science inquiry they called “Dancing Raisins”.  For this inquiry, they immersed raisins in Sprite and saw that the bubbles made the raisins rise and then the bubbles popped and the raisins fell.  This was part of the inquiry-based science process that the teachers learned about during a summer training session.

Fourth graders pictured are Charlie Neff, Dale Overmyer, Melissa Slabaugh, and Makenna May.
