City Police Urge Downtown Property Owners to Watch Out

January 5, 2012

01/06/12 Investigator Ted Brown with the Plymouth Police Department is urging downtown building owners and residents to be on the lookout.

In the past couple of months the Plymouth Police Department has received calls in reference to unknown subjects being on the roof tops of downtown Plymouth.  On at least one occasion vandalism was done. A police report from November 28th states that over the Thanksgiving weekend subjects were on the roof tops on the west side of the 100 block of Michigan Street.  Damage was done to a couple of roofs including the Marshall County Historical Museum, the buildings owned by JGM Properties/George Schricker and Robert Listenberger.

City police are asking area residents and building owners to contact the police department if they see or hear anything out of the ordinary.  They are also advising routine checks of equipment placed on roof tops due to the scraping thefts that have occurred recently.

Anyone with information on these incidents should contact the Plymouth Police Department. (936-2126)
