08/01/11 A traffic stop Thursday morning at the corner of La Porte and 5th Streets resulted in the arrest of two people.
County officer Joe Giordano made a traffic stop on a while Dodge Avenger. The driver, 23 year old Jessica Goad was arrested for assisting a criminal. She was transported to the Marshall County Jail and held on a $1,000 cash bond.
The passenger, 35 year old Brian Edington had 5 warrants for his arrest, three were failure to appear and two were for civil contempt. Because of the failures to appear he was held with no bond. Because of his reputation officers from the County and City assisted with this arrest.
After further investigation on the scene of the traffic stop, further charges are being investigated due to items located in the vehicle associated with this incident.
