Exile to headline at 2012 M.C. Blueberry Festival

May 7, 2012

05/08/12 Exile is getting back to it and the 2012 Marshall County Blueberry Festival is excited to welcome them as the headliner this year.  Exile will grace the stage on Saturday, September 1st during their reunion tour and is sure to be a fan favorite.

While Exile did have several number one country hits including “I Can’t Get Close Enough,” “Crazy For Your Love” and “She’s A Miracle” audience members can definitely expect to hear their number one pop single “Kiss You All Over.” But can we expect to hear some new material for the ban that once gave us now-prophetic titles: “Give Me One More Chance” and “I don’t Want To be A Memory.”  You’ll just have to come down to the festival and see!

Exile originally formed in 1963 and toured with Dick Clark’s Caravan of Stars opening shows and providing backup for major rock artists of the period.  While their chart success waned by 1991, they have continued to record.  The band currently consists of J.P. Pennington (guitar, lead vocals), Les Taylor (guitar, vocals), Sonny LeMaire (bass, vocals), Marlon Hargis (keyboards), and Steve Goetzman (drums). They have also recently performed “Kiss You All Over” with Trace Adkins on GAC’s “Hit Exchange.”

The Blueberry Festival runs from August 31st to September 3rd and is happy to include Exile as part of their free musical alumni’s.
