Plymouth Library Collecting Tabs for Ronald McDonals Family Rooms

January 23, 2011

01/24/11  The Plymouth Public Library is continuing to collect pop tabs for the Ronald McDonald Family Rooms in various areas in Indiana. This is the fifth year that they are collecting, and they are very grateful to all the people that have brought in so many containers full of tabs!

When Ronald McDonald was at the Library this past summer to perform one of his fabulous shows for the Summer Reading Program, they presented him with numerous boxes of pop tabs that were collected all year.  The proceed from this collection was donated to the Ronald McDonald House in Indianapolis.  They were most appreciative of the community efforts and the generous donation.  As always, large amounts of pop tabs are needed to ensure that the various Ronald McDonald Houses continue to flourish in their mission to provide facilities free of charge to the families of pediatric patients.

This year, Ronald is coming to the Plymouth Library on June 8, 2011, and they would like to surprise him with many more pop tabs than the past years.  They are asking that you keep bringing in pop tabs to make this next year another HUGE SUCCESS for the support of the Ronald McDonald Family Room.  The Family Room is a convenient and comfortable oasis for families who may be some distance from their homes, with seriously ill or injured children receiving hospital care.  Children are comforted knowing that family members are close by, helping them feel more secure and aiding in their recovery.

Again the Library says thanks to all the pop tab collectors and let’s keep up the good work and make 2011 an outstanding year for Ronald’s kids!
