16 Year Old Flees County Detective, Sheriff’s Department Seeks Public’s Assistance

A Marshall County Detective was slightly injured Friday afternoon in an altercation on Muckshaw Road.

Friday afternoon at 2:31 Detective Stg. Duane Culp of the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department went to the residence of 16347 Muckshaw Road in Argos to check on a report of a runaway.  16 year old Landon J. Lewis had been reported as a runaway to the Sheriff’s Office on June 3rd at 10:22 p.m. 

Detective Culp made contact with Landon Lewis in the residence on Muckshaw Road and a struggle ensued.  Lewis was able to escape from the residence by breaking out a window in the bedroom.  He then fled the residence to the west into a corn field.  He was last seen wearing boxer type shorts and a gray tank top shirt.

Officers from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, the Argos Police Department, the Indiana State Police and Plymouth Police set up a perimeter and spent approximately two hours searching the area between Muckshaw and Nutmeg and 15th Road and State Road 10.  Landon Lewis was not located by officers during the extensive search of the area.
