Lowe’s to Complete Lowe’s Heroes Project in Freedom Park this Saturday

October 12, 2015

Lowe's_HeroesThis Saturday at 10 a.m. Lowe’s Home Improvement in Plymouth will be doing a Lowe’s Heroes event at Freedom Park in Packard Woods.

Last week Pete DeVoes from Lowe’s told members of the Plymouth Park Board that each year they choose an organization to help with a project.  In the past they’ve helped the Marshall County Humane Society, Argos Community Schools, Heminger House and more.

This year Lowe’s Heroes have selected Freedom Park as their organization.  After sitting down and talking with members it was decided additional seating was needed around the all-inclusive playground.  Lowe’s project will provide four 8-foot rubber coated, rounded corner and rolled metal benches with FREEDOM PARK punched in the backrest area.  The benches will be installed on concrete pads currently in place.  Two of the benches will be blue and two will be red to match the color scheme of the playground.

The donation has an estimated value of $4,800.  DeVoes said, “With the help of employees from Lowe’s and the park department we hope to enhance the enjoyment of those using Freedom Park for many years with this project.
