04/08/13 On Wednesday, April 3, Plymouth High School senior, Gabe Vervynckt was surprised to find his family, PHS staff members, and members of the Marshall County Lilly Grant Committee in the library at the high school.
After getting over his initial shock, Gabe was informed that he had been selected as a Marshall County Lilly Scholar. Gabe is the son of James and Laura Vervynckt and will be attending Grace College where he will study accounting and play tennis.
The Lilly Scholarship program was established in 1998 with the goal of “raising educational attainment within the state of Indiana”. The scholarship is a four-year, full tuition scholarship to any public or private college or university in Indiana. The student also receives $900 to cover for books and equipment.
