A beginning genealogy class is being offered through People’s University.

This class will meet at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday Sept. 21 in the Research Library at the Marshall County Museum in downtown Plymouth at the corner of Michigan and Garro Streets.  It is an introduction to Family History and Genealogy for beginners, basic record keeping, and an overview of the resources in the Genealogy Department of the Historical Society Museum.  Genealogical Society Members will be on-hand to share their experiences as beginning genealogists.

There is a $5 fee that covers copies that will be distributed to those in attendance.  Class size is limited to 15.  Register through People’s University at 574-936-9904.

This is the first of several genealogy and history related meetings or sessions that are offered this coming fall and winter at the museum during the Genealogical Society’s monthly meetings.
