September 1, 2011

09/02/11 “Girls Have the Power” a self esteem building program held at Fitness Forum at LifePlex had eight girls train for the 5K Blueberry Stomp this summer.  The program underwritten by a grant from the Marshall County Health Department is for girl’s ages 11-14 years old.  The program is led by Jami Holm and is designed to empower junior high age girls toward a life full of accomplishments and good health by promoting positive choices.

The girls have been training two times a week for six weeks this summer.  They began their training running a half mile and have built up to a three mile run by the end of the program.  Look for the girls running in the Blueberry 5K dressed in their tye dyed t-shirts.   These girls “Have the Power”
