ANCILLA COLLEGE GOLF CLASSIC SLATED

March 25, 2013

03/26/13 Spring is here and the divots will be flying! It’s time once again for the Annual Ancilla College Golf Classic.

The tournament is set to take place at the Plymouth Country Club, overlooking Pretty Lake in Plymouth, on Monday, June 10th, 2013. The tournament will follow the four-person Florida scramble format.

This year’s tournament will feature a catered cook-out lunch followed by a prime rib dinner in the Club House after the tournament. Golfers will be welcomed at the ninth hole by the always popular, Heavenly Putters. The “Putters” offer the opportunity to save a stroke if a golfer gives a small donation and allows a PHJC Sister to make a putt for them.

The main goal of the tournament, of course, is to raise funds for the college to provide educational opportunities, but another is to share an enjoyable day with Ancilla family and friends.

Participants can take part in a raffle for a number of great prizes as well as an auction of at least one set of Notre Dame football tickets as well as a Diamond Getaway vacation package following the tournament. Last year, every player went home with a door prize as well.

New this year is a golf ball drop fundraiser which is open to the general public. One lucky winner will take home up to $1,000 if their marked ball falls into the hole. A single ball can be purchased for just $5.00 and there are discounts for multiple ball purchases.

If you are interested in entering a team or being a sponsor, please contact the Office of Institutional Advancement at 574-936-8898 ext. 355. Individual slots are also available on teams needing to fill out their foursome. The Ancilla College Golf Classic has sold out with 40 teams for the past four years so interested parties are encouraged to sign up soon.

Brochures with entry forms may be downloaded on the web at:http://www.ancilla.edu/ancilla-golf-classic/
