Grand Champion Winners at Miller’s

July 21, 2011

07/22/11 Several staff members of Miller’s Senior Living Community received awards at the Marshall county 4-H fair for entries in the Open Class exhibits.  Co-workers Jenny Wagers, Rhonda Rogers and Deb Scarborough all received Grand Champion ribbons plus others in several different categories.

The three women work in the Assisted Living dietary department together and it is interesting to note that all three graduated from Argos High School.  Wagers received a Grand Champion ribbon for a scrapbook album that spotlighted the “Employees of the Month” at Miller’s Senior Living.  She also received Reserve Grand Champion on a 2 page scrapbook spread.  She received 5 blue ribbons on other projects.   Rogers was awarded Grand Champion for food preservation with her Maple Walnut Syrup and a first place ribbon for Strawberry/Rhubarb Jam.  Scarborough received a Grand Champion ribbon and the Superintendent’s Choice Award for her Crystal Christmas Tree.  She also received Grand Champion ribbons for Moon Fairy Cross Stitch, Pearl Drop Christmas Ornament, a Reserve Grand Champion for Garden Fairies Cross Stitch and several other ribbons for various entries.  The residents and staff of Miller’s are proud of these three ladies and the fine work they do.
