GROWTH FOR LOCAL BUSINESS, EVEN IN TOUGH ECONOMY

When Ann and Jeff Stuber opened their first Home Instead Senior Care office ten years ago, they were optimistic they would succeed, but there was no way to anticipate the actual growth their business has experienced.  Very soon, they will open their third office in Plymouth, in addition to established offices in South Bend and Elkhart.  Home Instead Senior Care provides non-medical care to local seniors, including companionship, meal preparation, medication reminders, personal care assistance, and light house-keeping.

The Plymouth office, to be located at 611 W. Jefferson (574-936-2833), will enable HISC to recruit, screen, and train local CAREGivers. Additionally, the company will be able to provide faster, more comprehensive service to seniors and their families in and around Marshall County.  Unlike so many businesses lately that have reduced employment, Home Instead Senior Care will be hiring for the Plymouth office.

What accounts for their steady growth in the face of tough economic conditions?   Stubers attribute the growth to one overriding fact. “It’s the compassionate, high quality care our CAREGivers deliver,” Stubers agree.  Two recent examples quickly come to mind.  “One CAREGiver, in preparation for her vacation, provided a page and a half detailed listing of things she does for her client, just to make sure her substitute CAREGiver would provide similar care.”  Another client’s son wrote of the CAREGiver  “…Dad feels like she is there as a friend, rather than just there doing a job.”  Stubers emphasize, “Our success is built on helping people and providing peace of mind for their families.”

The Plymouth office will open July 6, with business hours of 9:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday.
