County Police Release Details of Fatal Crash on US 31

  01/02/14 The two people in the 1999 Chevy Suburban that was hit head on Monday night by the by a car driven by Tyler Ohara were treated and released from Memorial Hospital.

The severe crash killed Ohara who was southbound on US 31in a 1992 Buick Regal.   

  40 year old Christina S. Harbaugh of Plymouth was north bound on US 31 near LaVille Elementary School when Ohara’s car crossed over the median and into the north bound lanes of US 31 hitting the Harbaugh’s vehicle head-on.  Christina was airlifted from the scene by MedFlight while her passenger, Roger Harbaugh was transported to Memorial Hospital by Plymouth Paramedics. 

Tuesday afternoon Memorial Hospital said Christina Harbaugh had been discharged and Roger Harbaugh did not show being in the hospital. 

  The exact cause of the crash is still under investigation.  The Indiana State Police are assisting Marshall County Police with an accident reconstruction investigation.  Also assisting on the scene was the LaPaz and Polk Township Fire and EMS, Plymouth EMS, and Marshall County Police.
