Correction: Heart & Hands Closes, Liquidation Sale on Saturday

June 21, 2012

06/22/12 Heart and Hands has been serving the Marshall County communities for the past 11 years educating over 2,000 primarily Hispanic speaking students in the English language, customs, rules and laws.  But the end of May they announced that they were closing their offices in Plymouth and Bremen.  The closure was blamed not only on the downward trend in donations due to the economic conditions but lower requests for educational assistance.

Due to the termination of the non-for-profit organization a liquidation of assets will be held on Saturday.  A tag sale will be today from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the upstairs of the “Old Fire House” at 222 North Center Street.

Items that will be for sale in the liquidation sale include laptop computers, desktop computers, printers, marker boards, book shelves, file cabinets, desks, chairs, folding tables, folding chairs, a Fender sound system, a projector, office supplies, pop-up tents, kitchen items, phones, English and Spanish books, educational tools, Conga drums, paper products, a fax machine, recorders, desk organizers, paper cutters, a microwave, display boards and stands, a Dictaphone and many miscellaneous items.
