Holiday Open House at Miller’s

December 15, 2010

12/16/10 The threat of snow did not keep people away from Miller’s Senior Living Community annual Holiday Open House and Festival of Trees on Sunday.  Many from the Marshall County area attended the event.  They visited with Santa and voted for their favorite Christmas tree.

Refreshments were served throughout the two hour event as local musicians provided a pleasant background by sharing their favorite Christmas carols and hymns.  Providing the music were Annette Ray of Bourbon, Cindy Taber of Argos, Cindy Flagg of Plymouth and Ali Dimmitt of Argos.

Festival of Trees winners were as follows:  First place, Boys and Girls Club of Marshall County (Plymouth) with a Gingerbread themed tree; second place was awarded to Brownie Troop #30446 with hand made decorations adorning their tree; and third place went to the snowman themed tree decorated by First United Church of Christ.

Marketing Director Anna Corbett would like to thank all who decorated trees in the facility and those who voted.  The trees will remain at Miller’s until the end of December and the public is invited to visit the facility and stroll through the hallways to view the trees.  Visitors may also sign up for the Plymouth Chamber Christmas Basket Give-A-Way.
