2 Rockies on IN Football Coach’s All State Teams

December 9, 2013

12/10/13 Plymouth’s Rockies have placed two players in the Indiana Football Coach’s Association All State Teams.

Plymouth Senior Michael Hartman was named to the IFCA senior team at full back after a season where he rushed for 1200 yards and 16 touchdowns. Junior Justin Drudge was named to the IFCA junior team rushing for 400 yards, catching 30 passes for 600 more yards – an average of 20 yards a catch – and scored six touchdowns and threw a pass for another.

“Michael (Hartman) is just an example of what you can make yourself into with hard work in the weight room,” said Plymouth head football coach John Barron. “He was just such an explosive runner for us. He was a home run hitter. Every time we got him the ball he was a threat to score.”

“Justin (Drudge) has some ridiculous stats,” said Barron. “It just seemed like every time that he touched the ball something good happened. He was a super open field runner and I think he has the best open field stiff arm I’ve seen since Walter Payton. He actually threw kids down.”

“They are both super kids, multiple sport athletes they are everything that you want and have come to expect in Plymouth athletes.”
