Wednesday Senator Joe Donnelly and Representative Jackie Walorski, a member of the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee greeted, visited and thanked Northern Indiana veterans for their service at the World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C. The 23 Hoosier World War II veterans made the trip to Washington as part of the Honor Flight Network.
Honor flights are conducted by non-profit organizations dedicated to transporting as many United States military veterans as possible to see the memorials of the respective war(s) they fought in Washington, D.C. at no cost to the veterans.
