Country Auto Center Helps Webster School with “Drive for the Kids”

December 5, 2010

12/06/10 Country Auto Center helped raise $420 for Webster Elementary with Chrysler’s Drive for the Kids program. The fundraising event was held on October 28, 2010.

42 parents and guests each earned a $10 contribution to the school from Chrysler by taking a brief test drive in a Town & Country, the company’s award winning minivan. Country Auto Center supplied the vehicles, and volunteers from the dealership were on hand to assist in the fundraising drives.

“Drive for the Kids is a mutually beneficial program. We’re pleased to support our local schools, and enjoy demonstrating a great product,” said Joe Martin Jr., owner of Country Auto Center. “Parents are genuinely interested in testing the minivans, and we are happy to help raise extra dollars for the school. We all work together for the kids. Everyone has a great time.”

Chrysler supports schools in the communities where the company does business. Since Drive for the Kids was introduced in 1993, Chrysler dealers have worked with parents and educators in communities across the nation. Chrysler has contributed over $3.5 million for student needs from playgrounds and field trips to reading programs and computers.
