Starke County Police Serve Search Warrant, Arrest Two

03/05/13  On Friday, March 1st the Starke County Sheriff’s Department along with the Knox Police Department and Indiana State Police executed a search warrant for narcotics at 9a.m. at 3395 South and 200 East in Knox. 

Upon gaining entry to the residence a female identified as Amber Lain along with Johnny Mullens and a 3 year old child were located inside the home. Officer’s was able to locate an illegal drug lab, methamphetamine, precursors used to manufacture methamphetamine, marijuana and syringes in the living room where Mr. Mullens and the child were located.   

A further search revealed approximately $2,100 in a safe that was confiscated.  Mr.  Mullens is being charged with dealing methamphetamine, neglect of a dependent, possession of precursors, possession of methamphetamine and marijuana.  Amber Lain is being charged with dealing methamphetamine and neglect of a dependent.  Both subjects were transported to the Starke County Jail.
