May 20, 2014

After one year as Superintendent of Argos Community Schools, Julie Lauck is reluctantly moving on. Lauck has taken a position as Assistant Superintendent for Valparaiso Community School Corporation.

Lauck said, “I’m sad to leave. I really love the Argos School Community.” According to Lauck, she was not seeking another position, but was approached by Valparaiso. Lauck said she believes working with Dr. Ric Frataccia, who has been named superintendent for Valparaiso Schools , will be a unique learning experience.

Lauck came to Argos after serving in a number of school corporations including the following: 1993-1998, School City of Mishawaka (teacher, assistant principal); 1998-2007, New Prairie United School Corporation (assistant principal, interim principal (elementary), principal (high school), and assistant superintendent) ; 2007-2010, Logansport School Corporation (superintendent); 2010-2012 DOE/Indiana Non-Public School Association (liaison); 2012 Union-North United School Corporation (interim superintendent); 2012-2013 Charter Schools USA (director of education); and Argos 2013-current.
