M.C. Community Foundation Accepting Contribuntions for Justin DeCrow Memorial Scholarship

March 8, 2011

03/09/11 The Board of Directors of the Marshall County Community Foundation is pleased to announce the establishment of a new scholarship fund. Lt. Col. Gary T. and Mrs. Donna M. Johnson founded this fund in memory of Staff Sergeant Justin DeCrow, a 1996 graduate of Plymouth High School. Justin died in November 2009 when an Army psychiatrist opened fire on soldiers at the Fort Hood Army base in Texas.

The Staff Sergeant Justin DeCrow Memorial Scholarship will be awarded annually to a graduate of Plymouth High School who has a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. The recipient must also be able to demonstrate a record of community service. The MCCF is currently accepting contributions to build this scholarship fund so that it may be awarded to deserving students in the future.  If you are interested in making a donation, please contact the Marshall County Community Foundation’s office at 574-935-5159 or visit our website www.marshallcountycf.org to donate on-line.

The Marshall County Community Foundation is a public charity with local roots that helps great ideas take flight through endowment philanthropy. We are Community-Minded Partners, Trusted Investors, Visionary Thinkers, and Opportunity Connectors.
