11/20/12 The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announces the reopening of Kern Road to all traffic between U.S. 31 and Locust Road beginning Wednesday, November 21st, weather permitting. Work was completed a week and a half ahead of schedule.
This stretch of Kern Road closed in late July for the first phase of construction on the new U.S. 31 Kern Road interchange. Kern Road will temporarily close again in the Spring of 2013 to allow crews to complete the bridge portion of the interchange.
