04/29/11 Plymouth Police Investigator Ted Brown is investigating an incident that happened early Wednesday morning. Sometime between the hours of 2 a.m. and 4 a.m. Wednesday a male subject was found on Western Avenue. It appeared that he had jumped off the U.S. 30 overpass onto Western Avenue.
44 year old Brian Kersey apparently attempted suicide by jumping off the bridge. Officer Brown confirmed that a note was found in Kersey’s residence that let police know he was suicidal.
Kersey was airlifted to the trauma unit at Memorial Hospital where he is currently listed in critical condition with several life threatening injuries. Police said the jump was 27 feet 11 inches.
