Overmyer Presented State Commissioner’s Legislative Service Award

Kevin OvermyerMarshall County Commissioner Kevin Overmyer was recently presented with the State Commissioner’s Legislative Service Award.

Overmyer has served the citizens of Marshall County since 1999 as County Commissioner. He served the Indiana Association of County Commissioner as Chairman of the Legislative Committee and the associations’ representative on the Association of Indiana County’s Legislative Committee for the 2011 to 2014 Legislative sessions.

Commissioner Kevin Overmyer has spent several hours at the State House as a voice for the association. He was a great advocate when it came to sharing the associations’ position on supporting the three member Board of Commissioners and advocating for additional 911 Funding. Additionally, he has been a strong advocate to Federal Legislators on behalf of his County and all Indiana Counties. He knows his legislators and they know him.

As Chairman of the lACC Legislative Committee Overmyer was instrumental in establishing the legislative priorities that were important to the members of the association to better serve the residents and tax payers of Indiana. Appointed by Governor Daniels, Kevin also serves on the Indiana Statewide 911 Board.
