Plymouth Kiwanis Donate to the Neighborhood Center

12/06/11 The Plymouth Kiwanis group helped to make Christmas a little merrier for some Marshall County families. The Kiwanians have made a donation of $300.00 to the Marshall County Neighborhood Center in Plymouth.   

Marshall County Neighborhood Center Executive Director Sara Hill said  “This donation from the Kiwanis Club comes at such a pivotal time.  We are seeing a dramatic increase in demand for Food Pantry service and we are serving record numbers of households. With November pantry service and our Thanksgiving Meal Assistance program, The Marshall County Neighborhood Center served 567 households (resp 1,898 individuals.  This donation will go towards food purchases to serve our neighbors in need.”

Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world, one child and once community at a time. The Plymouth Kiwanis meet each Tuesday at noon at Christo’s Banquet Center in Plymouth and interested new members are always welcome. For more information contact Tom Sibal at 935-8442.
