07/17/12 Connie Kipfer of Bremen and her lamas Sully and Little Joe made a surprise visit to Miller’s Senior Living Community Tuesday afternoon July 10. Kipfer is a personal friend of Miller’s resident LaVanch Yarian. She wanted to surprise LaVanch who loves the lamas plus she wanted LaVanch’s friends to also meet the lamas.
Kipfer brought the lama right into the Main Lobby of the facility explaining that lamas are naturally housebroken and very gentle, calm animals. Kipfer has the animals sheared about once a year and makes many useful items out of the lama wool.
Sully and Little Joe are both fourteen years old and very lovable. LaVanch explains the low humming sound they make is simply their way of saying “I love you!” The two lamas were a real hit with residents and staff alike.
