LJH Begins Fundraising Drive

August 30, 2011

08/31/11 Educators have long known that kids who participate in extra-curricular activities as well as receiving recognition for working hard to reach goals keeps students motivated to do their best in and out of the school day.

Lincoln Junior High is launching a fundraiser-Red Storm Donation Drive- from September 1-September 23 to help in funding these types of programs for the 2011-2012 school year.

Principal Dan Funston said, “In lieu of selling items, the LHJ all-school fundraiser is simply a donation drive.”  He said the donations received will help to support their recognition programs and provide assemblies for all students. Proceeds will also be used to help cover the costs associated with extra-curricular activities where there are entry fees, uniforms, and transportation.

Using a play on words, Funston said they will also be holding a Fun’d Fest and Dance.

LJH students will be soliciting donations and will be carrying receipts that they can give to donors.
