Miller’s Helps with “Little Dresses for Africa” Project

January 27, 2012

01/30/12 Several residents and staff from Miller’s Senior Living community attended a sewing night at Argos High School on Tuesday, January 24th.  They helped with the “Little Dresses for Africa Project” which is part of a Senior Project for Argos student Brittanie Williams.

Approximately 30 people helped with the sewing project led by Williams and her project mentor Mary Jackson, school librarian.  Tasks assigned to volunteers included cutting fabric, pinning bias tape and hems, stringing elastic and sewing. Sack lunches were provided by Miller’s dietary department and soup, by Jackson.
