8th Annual Living History Cemetery Walk in Walkerton

  06/28/13 The Walkerton Area Historical Society is holding their Eighth Annual Living History Cemetery Walk at 5 P.M. on Sunday, June 30th at South Woodlawn Cemetery, located on US 6 west of Walkerton.

Take a step back into Walkerton’s past as a member of some area families briefly come to life and share a few of their unique experiences.

The featured Walkerton residence being portrayed this year will include George and Irene Hershberger, Ray and Ella Nusbaum, Clyde and Hazel Chapman, Fran and Fayetta Dunn, Martha Pope Mull and Irvin Thomas.

 

The approximately one hour presentation is free of charge. Those participating should expect some walking and are welcome to along a lawn chair.

 

On display will be a homemade quilt made by Mrs. Joseph Lowry in memory of her loving husband that will be raffled off. Tickets for the raffle will be made available at the beginning of the day.  For more information call 574-586-7200.
