County Clerk Announces Meeting for General Election

Marshall County Clerk Julie Fox has announced meetings of the local Election Board. 

The Election Board will be meeting every Tuesday morning at 8:30 a.m. beginning August 31 and continue until Election Day, November 2nd.  The meetings will be held in the in the Clerk’s Officer in the Court House at 211 West Madison Street.

These meetings are open to the public.

On Tuesday, September 7th, immediately following the Election Board meeting at approximately 9 a.m. there will be a viewing of General Election ballots.  Candidates on the ballot or their designee are invited to view the ballots that will be used in the upcoming General Election on November 2nd

The Clerk has also announced the testing of the automatic tabulating equipment and voting system. 

In accordance with Indiana Code, the Marshall County Election Board will be performing a public test on Tuesday, September 21st at 9 a.m. in the Marshall County Clerk’s Office.  Testing will be of the automatic tabulating equipment to be used in Marshall County for the counting of ballot cards and tabulating of machine votes cast for all candidates in the next general election.  The testing is done to ascertain that the machines will correctly count the votes cast for all candidates and on all public questions.

The public is invited to view the testing.
