Lori Price Named New President of Gottlieb Memorial Hospital

  05/08/13 President of Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in Plymouth, Lori Price, has been named President of Gottlieb Memorial Hospital in Melrose Park, Ill., part of the Loyola University Health System. She stepped into the role on May 8th.

A mission-driven leader who considers Saint Joseph her second family, Price began her career with SJRMC 28 years ago as a nursing technician. Since 2010, she has served as President of the Plymouth Campus and Administrator of the Saint Joseph Physician Network. Her recent accomplishments include leading the successful implementation of electronic medical records throughout the health system and helping to achieve Meaningful Use. Her persistent focus on quality and performance improvement led to the Plymouth Campus being named one of the nation’s “Most Wired” hospitals and a Top 100 Hospital in recent years. 

Prior to becoming President of the Plymouth Campus, Price served as the System Chief Operating Officer. In that role, she successfully facilitated the consolidation of the former downtown Mishawaka and South Bend hospitals, along with home care and rehabilitation. As part of this effort, she was an integral part of the design and planning of the new $355 million Mishawaka Campus.

Lori Price started her career as a nurse technician while in college, and served in various nursing administration roles until she was promoted to Vice President of Clinical and Patient Care Services in 1993, and later to Executive Vice Present of both the Plymouth Campus and former downtown Mishawaka hospital.

She is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and received that organization’s Northern Indiana Regents award. She also was named to the list of Up and Comers by Modern Healthcare magazine.
