06/13/11 A fight in a jail cell Friday morning ended with one inmate having his ear bitten off.
At 9:43 a.m. the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department investigated a fight in the jail.
Inmates David A. Taylor and Daniel N. Henderson were involved in the incident. The fight broke out within a cell. The result of the fight was Taylor having his ear severed in the brawl.
Taylor was taken to Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in Plymouth and then transferred to another location for his injuries.
The fight is still being investigated by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department. A case report will be forwarded to the prosecutor’s officer for formal charges.
Marshall County Detective Duane Culp is investigating the aggregated battery with serious permanent disfigurement.
