07/24/13 Update on Sunday’s Michigan Road crash.
On Sunday, July 21st Marshall County Sheriff’s Deputy Joe Giordano responded to the area of Michigan Road and 4A Road in reference to a severe two vehicle accident.
The accident occurred when 28 year old Emily L. Ruffles of the South Bend, driving a Dodge Minivan south bound stopped on Michigan Road to make a left hand turn into the Tri-Way Drive-In Theater. Her van was struck from behind by 21 year old, Stacy R. Hunter of Culver who was driving a Volvo Wagon.
The driver of the minivan, Emily Ruffles and passengers in her vehicle, Carol Ruffles, Alan Casperson and Arayeh Woodward were transported to area hospitals.
The driver of the Volvo Wagon, Stacy Hunter was also transported to an area hospital for injuries he sustained in this crash. None of the injuries were life threatening.
