MCCO Performs Christmas Concert at Miller’s

December 7, 2011

12/08/11The Marshall County Church Orchestra performed a Christmas concert at Miller’s Senior Living Community on December 1st.

Having ended their official concert season with their Concert & Dessert at Christos in November; the Marshall County Church Orchestra takes time in December to play traditional Christmas carols for small, private groups.  They enjoy playing at Miller’s where they are warmly received.  Their program consisted of a twenty minute scripture narrative and traditional hymns about the birth of Christ titled “Who Then Shall Come”.  The musicians then donned their Santa hats and reindeer antlers and played popular Christmas tunes including “Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree”, “Chestnuts Roasting By An Open Fire”, “Frosty The Snowman”, “Jingle Bells”, “Let It Snow” and they finished with “We Wish You A Merry Christmas.  The MCCO will take a short hiatus during the holiday season and will begin meeting for rehearsal again in January.  To contact the orchestra to perform at your facility or for your organization call Don Harness at 574-936-7357.
