February 5, 2013

02/06/13 The Plymouth Public Library will host their annual Monopoly Game Tournament on Friday, February 15th.  Plymouth Schools have the day off for a Staff Development Day so this tournament is geared for students in grades 6 through 12.  Registration is now underway and continues until 8 p.m. on Thursday, February 14th.

Cost to participate in the Monopoly Game Tournament is FREE and to make the day even better, they will award prizes and serve pizza, pop, and snacks. Activities kick off on the 15th from 10:15 to 10:45 with sign in, table assignments until 11 when play begins.  The lunch break is from 12:30 to 1 and then the finals and consolation games begin.  From 2:30 to 3 will be the awards ceremony.

The games will be played by official, long-game rules, but with a 90-minute time limit.  The player with the highest total assets at the end of the round is the winner. Consolation games will be played with other board games.  They must have 24 for an official tournament so sign up today.
