Candidates Begin Filing for Municipal Elections

01/25/11 Candidates for the 2011 Municipal Elections have begun to file their intentions in the Marshall County Clerk’s Officer according to Shelly Brown, Deputy for Voter Registration.

On Wednesday January 19th current Town Clerk Treasurer Janet M. Anglemyer filed on the Republican ticket for re-election as Clerk Treasurer for Bremen.  Others filing last week included Chad A Baker, and Heath Thornton current Bremen Town Board members, along with current Bremen Town Council President Rick Garverson, and Vice-President James Leeper. 

Also filing on Wednesday was Bill Watson from Plymouth.  Watson filed on the Republican ticket for Plymouth City Council District 2 the seat currently held by Democrat Don Gardner.  Gardner has indicated that he will not seek re-election for a third term. 

On Thursday, following the Republican Breakfast meeting Mayor Senter and current Clerk Treasurer Toni Hutchings filed for re-election along with Wayne A Smith for City Council District 3 and Mike Delp for the At-Large position he currently holds.  Others filing on Thursday included two newcomers: Don Ecker Jr. will face Watson for the District 2 seat while Duane L. Culp has filed for City Council District 1 the position currently held by Chuck Ripply.  Ripply has indicated that he will not be seeking re-election.
