12/27/11 Music & More, an ensemble form the Marshall County Church Orchestra recently played Christmas music at University Park Mall in Mishawaka. Shirk’s Piano and Organ of Mishawaka provided background music for shoppers at the mall during the month of December. The music provides a nice ambiance for shoppers who are tired and enjoy sitting for awhile between stores.
The Marshall County Church Orchestra directed by Don Harness of Plymouth has approximately 35 members during a concert performance. They also have several small groups within the entire group who can entertain at nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, churches and for parties. Anyone interested in having the orchestra or a small group play should contact Harness by calling 574-936-7357.
The orchestra will begin rehearsal for the coming season on Thursday, January 19, 2012. They rehears at the R.E.M.C. building at 11299 12th Road south of Plymouth. All instruments are welcomed and the orchestra is in particular need of low brass players. The M.C.C.O. welcomes all skill levels and ages. For more info contact Don Harness at the above number.
